Northbound M-53 to close between 33 Mile, 35 Mile for 6 weeks of repairs
Motorists traveling who use the Van Dyke Freeway through Bruce Township in northern Macomb County will need to find alternative routes starting next week. Beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday, northbound M-53 (Van Dyke Freeway) will be closed for ongoing repair between 33 Mile and 35 Mile roads for approximately six weeks.

The three first-degree murder convictions of an Oakland County man for the drug-related slaying of a Warren family have been upheld by the state Court of Appeals.
