U of Oklahoma dental school launches state's 1st pediatric residency
The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry launched the first pediatric dental residency program in the state. The two-year program is 80% patient care and 20% didactic, and is focused on training residents to provide dental care to children with an emphasis on care for children with medical complexities and developmental conditions, according to an Aug. 14 news release from the university.

Jaydan Hardy was a highly-ranked defensive back prospect in the 2024 class. He received his first D1 offer three years before his eventual signing day – his offer sheet grew to more than two dozen. OU offered Hardy in the summer of 2021. As his junior year of high school wrapped up, things warmed up between the Sooners and Hardy. Oklahoma, Oregon, SMU, Tennessee, and Texas A&M were included in a top five for the safety. In April, Hardy committed to the Sooners.

PONCA CITY — St. John Baptist Church, 1009, south 11th Street, has been targeted by vandals at least times since August of 2023. St. John Baptist Church has been in the community for nearly 100 years and is on the National Register of Historic Places in the State of Oklahoma and US Department of the Interior. It was built by the congregation in 1927.
