Let the games begin. It’s been a cruel (hot) summer so far, but this cocktail competition is sure to cool things off and get the party started.

Last month, we challenged Macon area restaurants to compete in a friendly Taylor Swift-themed competition and wow, you’re going to love what they mixed up.

We’re in our cocktail era and these won’t disappoint. Here’s what to know about the rules, competitors and how to vote for the best.

    Here are the rules

We invited four Macon area restaurants to concoct an Eras-themed drink and the only rules were to:

    1. Pick a Taylor Swift Era and make a drink inspired by the singer in that era.

    2. Have the drink available all month long for customers to try.

The rest is up to you :

    1. Go try each drink.

    2. Vote on the best before July 31, 2024, (the poll is at the end of this story).

Here are the competitors & their drinks

First up on the Eras tour, we have Evermore.

“We have champagne problems but this drink isn’t one,” said co-owner Brooke Woods.

“With fresh muddled mint, a generous scoop of raspberry sorbet, all topped with a sparkling Rose’ Champagne. Garnished with a fresh raspberry and mint sprig this drink will make you forget you ever had any problems.”

Time to go to the Lover Era.

“The cocktail is a riff on a London fog tea, and an old fashioned, which Taylor has mentioned as her go-to cocktail,” said Taylor Couey, Kinjo bar manager. “It is a rum old fashioned infused with black tea and has lemon bitters, vanilla bean and coconut milk.”

    Amici Macon

Last on the Eras tour is Midnights.

Amici’s “Lavender Haze” cocktail is made with Lemonade Empress Gin, blackberry liqueur, lemonade, sour mix and edible glitter.

Although they aren’t included in this competition, Amici Macon also has several other Taylor Swift-inspired cocktails available for customers to try such as:

    • The Lover Shot - Malibu, watermelon schnapps and sour mix

    • Champagne Problems - Kettle One Botanicals, cranberry juice, simple syrup, champagne and edible glitter

    • The Taylor Swift - Vodka and Diet Coke

Address: 1510 Mercer University Dr, Macon, GA 31204

Here’s how to vote for the best

After you’ve tried all four Eras-themed cocktails, it’s time to decide who made the best Swift-worthy drink.

Your vote is your own and isn’t scientific. Your vote may end up based on who you thought had the most creative drink, which drink tastes the best or maybe the restaurant chose your favorite Taylor Swift Era. Whatever the reason, vote once or as many times as you want. Simply refresh the page and keep on voting.

Voting for the competition will end on July 31, 2024 at noon .
