Bettie S. Causey and H. Chris Causey, owners of House of Hines Formal Wear , announced on social media that the longtime store would be closing.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, the owners said that after 59 years of dedicated service to the Macon and Central Georgia community, it is with a mixture of gratitude and sentiment that they are retiring and will be closing the House of Hines on Aug. 31.

The announcement stated that for nearly six decades, the owners have had the honor and privilege of serving the Macon community, their cherished customers, and being a part of the community.

“Your loyalty and support have been the cornerstone of our success, and we are profoundly grateful for the trust you placed in us,” the post read “As we retire, we reflect on the countless memories, friendships, and moments of joy we have shared with each of you. Our journey has been enriched by your patronage, and we leave with hearts full of appreciation.”

The owners ended the announcement by stating “all inventory must go - at least 50% off.”

House of Hines Formal Wear is at 2028 Vineville Ave. and can be reached at 478-746-8582.
