Cashman’s Pub took home the Super Spud Trophy last week as the winner of the downtown Macon French Fry Fight.

But for those who want to find the best wings too, Macon Black Culture is seeking to find the restaurant with the tastiest flats and drums.

Macon Black Culture will host its second annual “Who Got The Best Wings?” competition, in which local Black-owned businesses can compete for the best wings title, showcase their culinary skills and attract new customers.

The competition will begin on July 29, in observation of National Chicken Wing Day, and run until Aug. 4, according to the organization’s Facebook post.

“By joining this event, you will not only compete for the title of Best Wings but also contribute to a larger movement that highlights and supports Black-Owned businesses,” the social media post reads.

Black-owned restaurants in the Middle Georgia area are welcome to compete. Prospective businesses interested in the competition must pay a $30 participation fee that the organization said will go directly to the event’s marketing campaign. Visit Macon Black Culture ’s website for more information.
