Hamilton County submits draft plan to reduce sewer overflows
Hamilton County officials have submitted the Phase 2B plan for bringing the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati into compliance with the Clean Water Act. The 10-year plan is the next step in reducing how much untreated sewage and storm water overflows into waterways during heavy rainstorms. About 7 billion gallons of untreated sewage overflows into the Ohio River, the Mill Creek, and other waters every year. That’s about half the amount that was overflowing annually before the consent decree was put in place 15 years ago.

Nasty Nati will host the Cincinnati Regional, with games played at Fifth Third Arena from July 19-23. Nasty Nati, the top seed in the Cincinnati regional, is organized by former Bearcat Kevin Johnson and coached by Cashmere Wright. The roster includes Jarron Cumberland, the son of Scott and Cheryl Cumberland, formerly of Hillsboro. He is a graduate of Wilmington High School.
