Davis resigns as head baseball coach, teacher after 36 years
Bruce Davis, a jovial man, decided a few weeks ago to resign as head baseball coach for Tri-City United High School after 37 years in the position. “I really don’t have any reasons to retire. I still love coaching. Last spring was as much fun coaching as any season,” said Davis.
Stein Holding Champions Crowned at Bavarian Blast
Saturday night at Bavarian Bast in New Ulm Adam Dauer defeated eleven other contestants including his dad Alan a former champion in the Stein Holding Contest. In the Women’s division, Paula Thomas came out on top! The official time was not available.

New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf is having its next Produce Tuesday on August 13th 10:15am-12:15pm. Open Your Heart Summer Challenge grant is underway to help the food shelf raise more funds and receive a proportionally matched grant. Executive Director Brad Kirk says the food shelf is looking for volunteers.
Overnight I-90 Detour Starts Wednesday in Southeast Minnesota
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News)- A detour associated with one of two massive projects along I-90 in southeast Minnesota is set to begin this week. MnDOT is overseeing a pair of transformative projects that began this year along the interstate. A project to rebuild I-90’s interchange with Hwy. 52 southeast of Rochester started earlier this month.

Statewide Missing Person Alert For 17-Year-Old Minnesota Girl
Sartell, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide alert has been issued for a missing Minnesota teenager. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says 17-year-old Kaydence Johnson has been missing for 30 days and is now considered and endangered missing person. The alert says she and another teenage girl ran away from a residence in the City of Sartell on June 22.
