RIPON, Calif. — In just a few seconds Friday, more people drove past Ripon Consolidated Fire District Station 1 than the number of first responders on duty inside. The Lookout Fire is located in the 42000 block of Deadwood Lookout Road in Oakhurst (Madera County), California. Firefighters were dispatched Friday night around 2305 hours PT to a brush fire in the area with smoke showing. After arriving in the area, they found four fires burning and accessing the first three less than 15 minutes later. The fourth one they had difficulties reaching it.
McKinleyville All-Stars remain optimistic despite shutout loss
The McKinleyville 12-year-old All-Stars lost their opening game at the NorCal state tournament in Madera on Saturday morning, falling 15-0 to Land Park out of Sacramento.
