Saint Agnes transitions urgent care center to Camarena Health

Saint Agnes is transitioning ownership and management of its Main Campus Urgent Care location, located on the Medical Center’s Fresno campus, to Camarena Health, effective July 1.

Madera-based Camarena Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving Fresno and Madera counties, operating more than 20 community health center locations, including four urgent care centers in Madera County. This transition underscores Saint Agnes’s commitment to providing exceptional health care services tailored to meet the needs of its community, according to a news release.

“At Saint Agnes, our goal is to best service our community with the options that can be viable for the long-run,” says Gurvinder Kaur, MD, MHA, Saint Agnes president and market leader. “We will continue to operate our other two urgent care centers and are thankful for the partnership with Camarena Health in improving access to care.”

The urgent care is temporarily closed starting July 1 through Wednesday, July 10 and will reopen as Camarena Health Urgent Care starting Thursday, July 11. The new operating hours will be Thursdays through Mondays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. The clinic will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Camarena plans to transition to daily access with extended hours in the coming months.

Saint Agnes Care will continue to own and operate its two other urgent care locations, including Northwest Urgent Care in Fresno and Magnolia Urgent Care in Clovis.

Camarena Health currently operates four urgent care locations in Madera County.
