Investigation underway in Madison Co. shooting, structure fire
RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - On Saturday, first responders were called to Jeremiah Dr. in Richmond for reports of shots fired. When police got to the scene, they found Nancey Erwin in a vehicle on the property with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. They also found the house on fire and called fire agencies for assistance.
Victim identified, ‘unknown’ body found in Richmond home where shooting, fire took place
RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) — Law enforcement has identified the victim in connection to an investigation of a shooting and fire that took place at a Richmond home on Saturday. According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Jerimiah Avenue in Richmond around 2:10 p.m. on Saturday in response to a call about gunshots being fired in the area.
Final Defendant Sentenced in Fentanyl and Heroin Trafficking Conspiracy
FRANKFORT, Ky. – A Lexington, Ky., man, Darnell Thomas, Jr. 32, was sentenced on Monday, by U.S. District Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove, to 240 months, for conspiracy to distribute 10 grams or more of fluorofentanyl, 40 grams or more of a mixture containing fentanyl, and heroin, and distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl.

The executive director said creating more parking is critical for access. “It’s always been a challenge, but the addition of our meeting space, and the demand for it, has really pushed it to the point that something needs to be done,” said Christina Cornelison.
Longtime Richmond youth coach remembered as a great coach and human being
Originally published by WEKU. A Richmond man involved in youth sports for 35 years is being remembered as a very good coach – and person. Mike Huguely died Sunday. He was an assistant football and track and field coach at several Madison County schools, including Madison Middle, where Shawn Manuel met him in 2013. Huguely was the defensive coordinator; Manuel helped on the offensive side.
