Flood watch for Columbus cancelled by NWS
A flood watch issued Tuesday morning for Columbus and several surrounding counties was canceled Tuesday night by the National Weather Service in Wilmington. At 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, NWS canceled the flood watch for Franklin, Butler, Clinton, Fairfield, Fayette, Greene, Licking, Madison, Pickaway and Warren counties after the flash flooding threat ended, according to an NWS bulletin.
“The Path of the Pioneer” Hits The Stage In Plain City Aug. 9-10
PLAIN CITY – Jonathan Alder, the first white settler in Madison County and for whom the local school district is named, will be coming back to life on stage as “The Path of the Pioneer”, a play written by Daniel Rodriguez Hijo, will open August 9 and 10 at Buckeye Brass and Winds, 202 N. Chillicothe St., with the curtain for both shows scheduled for 8 p.m., and dinner being served prior to showtime.
