    ASA STARS National Tour returns to Madison International Speedway

    OREGON, Wis. — The ASA STARS National Tour returns to Madison International Speedway for the Capital 200 on Friday prior to heading to the Milwaukee Mile on Sunday for the Father’s Day 100.

    The unique double-header weekend for the ASA STARS National Tour features some of the best Super Late Model drivers from 11 states and Canada.

    Former champions, local favorites, outside contenders are all entered. Midwest sensation Ty Majeskyi, who is currently fourth in the NASCAR Truck Series, will be on hand as well as southern favorite Bubba Pollard. Current points leader Cole Butcher will race along with Caden Kvapil, son of Wisconsin star Travis Kvapil from Janesville. Dawson Sutton and Kyle Steckly continue to battle for the Rookie of the Year crown.

    Several local standouts will race Friday as well. Casey Johnson of Edgerton will compete in the Capital 200 along with Austin Nason, Gabe Sommens, Derek Kraus, Ty Frederickson, Jeff Storm and James Lynch.

    Practice will be from 1-3 p.m. and 3:45-4:15 on Friday.

    The track’s weekly Late Models race at 7:30 p.m. with the ASA STARS Capital 200 starting at 8:20.
