The weather might not be the most ideal for fireworks, parades or Summerfest today it's looking like we'll have on-and-off rain and storms for most of the day. Tomorrow should be in the clear, though some rain chances will return on Sunday.

Biden has crucial visit in Madison today

President Joe Biden has a crucial campaign stop in Madison today as he seeks to regain confidence among Democrats after a rough debate performance against former President Donald Trump last week. And attention will be on whether top Democrats in the state will join him.

Evers was "tentatively planning to attend" on Friday, his spokeswoman said earlier this week. He also didn't plan to join a White House call with Democratic governors from other states. Evers has voiced support for Biden, saying "I think the choice in this election is clear, and it’s always been clear."

Baldwin will not appear with Biden today, instead sticking to a pre-planned statewide tour that will take her to northeastern Wisconsin. Her absence Friday will mark the fourth time this year that Baldwin did not appear with Biden on one of the president's visits to the state. Her campaign noted she was in Washington during previous visits.

Summerfest comes to a close this weekend

If you haven't made it to Summerfest yet, this is your last chance: The festival wraps up July 6. Here's a link to our lineup schedule, which you can filter by day. Performers you can still catch this weekend include Maroon 5, Bryson Tiller, Neon Trees, Lil Uzi Vert, Cold War Kids and more.

Side note: Hannah Kirby has a great story about what happened when a couple held up a poster at Keith Urban's concert, letting him know their wedding was the same day as his birthday. Urban said he wouldn't be able to make it, but he let the couple pick the next song.

If Summerfest isn't your jam, check out our list of other post-July 4 events this weekend, including the African Cultural Festival, Independence Day Weekend at Old World Wisconsin, 414Flea at Zócalo Food Truck Park and the opening of the Bristol Renaissance Faire.
