MADISON, Wis. -- Veterinary Emergency Group announced Friday it will open its first 24/7/365 pet emergency hospital in Wisconsin on Monday, July 8.

VEG said it will provide high-quality emergency care to animals 24 hours a day, every day, including holidays. Surgeries, ultrasounds, x-rays, and more will be offered as part of VEG's high-quality emergency care.

Pet parents who visit or call VEG's Madison location will be able to speak immediately with a licensed veterinarian, and do not need to wait in a lobby or fill out paperwork prior to triage. VEG said pet parents are allowed to stay with their pets through all stages of treatment, including surgery and overnight hospitalization.

VEG said the hospital's open-floor plan allows pet parents to have freedom of movement, and see life-saving medicine up close. The hospital's initiative, VEG Cares, benefits underserved pets in crisis and grants scholarships to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students.
