26 dishes on the menu for Restaurant Week

​From July 21 to 26, Restaurant Week will showcase Madison's diverse culinary scene. At this semi-annual event, 35 local restaurants offer three-course dinner menus starting at $30, with lunch available at select locations for $20. Five restaurants — La Pollera Colombiana, Sushi Lover, Les Délices de Awa, Mishqui Cocina Peruana, and Summer House Grill & Bar — are making their Restaurant Week debut this year.

Bacon Smash Burger

Satisfy your burger craving at Craftsman Table & Tap with two smashed ground steak and bacon patties served on a pretzel roll. The entrée is topped with marinated sun-dried tomatoes, caramelized onions, Brie, fresh arugula and garlic aioli.

Cazuela de Mariscos

At La Pollera Colombiana , savor this creamy seafood soup with rice and fried green plantain.

Ceviche

Start your meal at Bonfyre American Grille with fresh shrimp and scallops cured with lime juice and tossed with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions and cilantro.

Chilled Cucumber Mint Soup

Beat the summer heat with this chilled soup at Steenbock's on Orchard . A blend of Greek yogurt, feta cheese and olive oil brings this refreshing appetizer to life.

Cozze alla Marinara

Dip grilled bread in Osteria Papavero ’s sautéed black mussel dish, flavored with chili, garlic, tomato and Italian parsley.

Crab & Shrimp Roll

Another option for seafood lovers is Summer House Grill & Bar 's crab- and shrimp-stuffed toasted butter bun topped with mayo and celery.

Dark & Dulce

Dark chocolate is melted with dulce de leche and finished with sea salt in this rich dessert at Melting Pot of Madison .

Dessert Nachos

Normal nachos are already a tried-and-true favorite: easy to share and covered with a mountain of toppings. But have you ever had them for dessert? At Bassett Street Brunch Club , these fried flour tortillas come dusted with cinnamon sugar and topped with fresh berries and cream cheese glaze.

Filet Mignon

Draper Brothers Chophouse 's classy dining room continues offering cocktails and fine-cut meats (like the New York strip shown below). During Restaurant Week, try their 6-ounce filet mignon with Yukon mashed potatoes and raspberry gastrique.

Flamingo Roll

Alongside Sushi Lover ’s locally-inspired “Madison” and “Badger” rolls, try the “Flamingo” roll filled with tuna, salmon, red snapper and avocado wrapped in soy paper.

Fried & Spicy Tacos

For $20, BelAir Cantina offers a three-course lunch during Restaurant Week, including any two tacos with a side of rice and beans. To turn up the heat, try one with deep-fried zucchini tossed in a habanero butter, topped with corn salsa, microgreens and a lime-beet aioli.

Mariner’s Shrimp

At the family-run Mariner's Inn , enjoy the famous deep-fried Mariner's Jumbo Shrimp on the waterfront. Not enough shrimp? Add a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer!

Petite Filet

Ruth’s Chris Steak House showcases a tender, melt-in-your-mouth cut of corn-fed Midwestern beef.

Pork Katsu

Merchant ’s pork katsu tastes as good as it looks. The dish consists of fried rice, bacon, pickled purple daikon, togarashi hollandaise and scallions, topped with a soft poached egg.

Potato and Berry Chaat

Sultan Restaurant is a small plates restaurant showcasing Punjabi and South Asian flavors (like the timatar chaat below). Their Restaurant Week menu features a potato and berry chaat appetizer of spiced Yukon Gold potatoes, blueberry compote, raspberries, tamarind chutney, mint chutney, yogurt dressing and mint.

Poulet Braise

At Les Délices de Awa , enjoy Ivorian-style grilled chicken with sautéed potatoes and herbs, served on a plate in the shape of the African continent where the dish originates.

Rangoon Roll

Each bite of this six-piece sushi roll from Tavernakaya is packed with flavor and crunch. The roll is deep-fried with crab stick, cream cheese, tempura crunch and scallions topped with sweet chili sauce.

Roasted Cauliflower

Palette Bar & Grill 's vegetarian dish has a satisfying grilled char and is served with roasted poblano cream, crispy onions, fresh herbs, roasted garlic, orange gochugaru and quinoa.

Salmon Poke Bowl

In addition to Zen Ramen ’s many noodle dishes, try this refreshing mix of salmon, edamame, avocado, carrots and seaweed salad over rice.

Shawarma Flatbread

At Eno Vino Wes , this shareable flatbread is loaded with artichoke cream, lamb, tabbouleh, dukkah tzatziki, feta and pickled onion.

Spam Musabi

This tempting appetizer from One & Only is glazed with miso and tamari and served with rich and creamy Kewpie mayo.

Spicy Pulled Pork Bun

At Umami Ramen & Dumpling Bar , try this Taiwanese mantou bun stuffed with braised pork shoulder, pickled carrots and miso peach chutney.

Strawberry Cannoli

Nonno’s Ristorante Italiano puts a fresh spin on a classic cannoli for a sweet and surprising dessert.

Triple Berry Salad

At Buck & Honey’s , try this summertime salad tossed in balsamic vinaigrette with mixed berries, red onions, candied walnuts and goat cheese. If you’re in search of protein, add grilled chicken, scallops or shrimp skewers for a small extra charge. Enjoy Restaurant Week at their Monona, Mount Horeb, Sun Prairie and Waunakee locations.

Vegan Carrot Cake

End your evening with this light, gluten-free dessert from Mishqui Cocina Peruana . The spiced cake is layered with sweet vegan cream cheese frosting.

Wontons

Pork, shrimp and tofu based wontons will be served at Feast - Artisan Dumpling and Tea House , with a choice between spicy or soup style.
