Wisconsin Athletics announces new premium seating in Kohl Center

MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin Athletics announced Tuesday the Kohl Center will undergo construction for premium seating, introducing a new and improved game day experience.

In February, the Wisconsin State Building Commission approved the reduction of the Kohl Center ice sheet to NHL dimensions. Wisconsin Athletics said the reduction created six additional feet of permanent space on each side of the ice sheet, allowing the organization to add newly-developed premium seating.

Wisconsin Athletics said the premium seating will offer access to a new premium club space, all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverages, a full-service cash bar, wider, padded seats, and enhanced parking priority. The upgrades will help create an exciting fan experience and boost revenue to support Badger student athletes.

The seating improvement comes after a number of recent upgrades to the Kohl Center, including new locker rooms, strength and conditioning spaces, sports medicine and rehab rooms, a dining hall and nutrition room, academic support facilities, new offices for coaching staff, and a hockey shooting room.

Wisconsin Athletics said construction for the premium seating will be completed for the 2024-2025 season.
