Paw-Olympics take place at Madison doggie daycare

MADISON, Wis. -- Camp K9 Dog pet resort and daycare on Madison's east side hosted a dog Olympic Games Friday in honor of the 2024 games in Paris.

More than 40 dogs were signed up to participate in games like sprinting, jumping and 'dive.' There was an opening ceremony that included a torch chew toy and podium for gold, silver and bronze medalists.

Kristyn Goodsell, Camp K9's marketing manager said although the event is exciting for staff- the event is all about the dogs.

"We kind of look at day camp as an enrichment activity and when we can mix up their days, mixed up what they're doing, it benefits them mentally, socially and physically, too," Goodsell said.
