PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS : There is a slight chance of thunderstorms this evening, with muggy temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Overnight, we are watching the possibility of a few thunderstorms moving into parts of southern Wisconsin, mainly towards daybreak Wednesday. Overnight low temperatures will be near 70 degrees. Wednesday will feature a chance of morning storms, followed by skies turning partly sunny, with very warm and humid conditions. Provided skies clear out, temperatures will push into the middle to upper 80s again by late Wednesday afternoon. Heat index values could get into the middle to upper 90s Wednesday afternoon.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : There is a chance of severe weather across southern Wisconsin later Wednesday, with ALERT DAY conditions possible from a cluster of storms Wednesday evening and overnight with strong winds, hail, and heavy rain. Another round of storms are possible Thursday, although Wednesday night's storms may take away energy on Thursday for widespread strong storms. The First Warn Weather Team will continue to keep a close eye on this. By Friday, temperatures will cool down a bit, and that will last heading into the weekend, with rain chances decreasing.
