Wisconsin class of 2026 quarterback commit Jarin Mock‘s stock is trending up after becoming the first member of the Badgers’ 2026 class last week.

He rose from unranked to a three-star recruit on 247Sports. That rise specifically includes an overall rating of 86. He’s currently the No. 47-ranked quarterback in the class of 2026 and No. 32 player from his home state of Ohio.

Mock is Wisconsin’s first big splash in the 2026 cycle. His commitment comes after a recent unofficial visit to the program, that after camping with the program earlier this summer. He chose the Badgers over other offers from Central Michigan, Marshall, UMass and Miami (OH).

Wisconsin’s early identification of Mock’s talent before he was even rated by recruiting services is likely an indication of a future rise in recruiting rankings.

The Pickerington, Ohio native is a rising junior in high school and still has plenty of time to raise his recruiting profile.

Wisconsin’s list of high school quarterback commits in the Luke Fickell and Phil Longo era includes Mock, Mabrey Mettauer (2024) and Landyn Locke (2025). The program is still in search of its first top-ranked QB commit since Graham Mertz in the class of 2019.
