Woman attempts to strike man several times with a rock

BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman is in jail after she threatened to set a man’s belongings on fire and attempted to strike him several times with a rock.

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 2:30 PM, a Boone County Deputy was dispatched to Pond Fork Road, Madison, regarding a potential domestic incident in progress.

The deputy contacted the victim, who reported that Ashley Garrett, referred to as the defendant, was yelling and threatening him. The defendant indicated intentions to set some of his personal belongings on fire.

The defendant picked up a rock and attempted to strike him with it several times.

A Boone County Deputy had been at the residence earlier that day and instructed the defendant not to return.
