Bullwhip Rodeo coming to the Hopkins Co. Fair

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Hopkins County-Madisonville Fair has announced the Bullwhip Rodeo, set to take place on August 5 and 6.

Officials say this event will feature some of the best rodeo talents from across the region. The Bullwhip Rodeo will showcase a variety of arena events, including bull riding, trick riding, barrel racing and roping competitions. In addition to the rodeo, the fair will also feature other events such as the demolition derby.

“We are excited to host the Bullwhip Rodeo as part of this year’s fair,” said Ray Cartwright, Vice President of the Hopkins County-Madisonville Fair Board. “This event not only brings top-notch rodeo action to our community but also provides an opportunity for families and friends to come together and enjoy a memorable experience.”

Officials say the Hopkins County-Madisonville Fair will run from August 2 to August 10, with the Bullwhip Rodeo taking place on the evenings of August 5 and 6. Fair hours vary daily, offering attractions such as carnival rides, games, live entertainment and food.

The Hopkins County-Madisonville Fair says ticket prices for the fair are as follows:

• $10 on Sunday
• $12 on Monday through Thursday
• $15 on Friday and Saturday

Officials say nightly fair admission price includes unlimited rides and events. Admission does not include entry fees for participation in specific competitions, games or food. They note parking is available on-site.
