RAGBRAI Rolls into Knoxville Today
After months of preparation, RAGBRAI will officially be rolling into Knoxville today. The riders will be making the 75 mile ride from Winterset over to the Sprint Car Capital of the World. The city anticipates riders to be arriving as early as noon today. Riders will be coming up from the south on Highway 14 and a majority of them will be staying at the main campground located near the Knoxville Rec Center and Knoxville High School. Iowa DNR Investigates Fish Kill in Northeast Iowa
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is investigating a northeast Iowa fish kill. On July 19th, the DNR Field Office in Manchester was notified of dead fish in Crane Creek, approximately two miles southwest of Readlyn in Bremer County. Officials believe the fish kill originated at 250th Street and Piedmont Avenue.
