    Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Announces 2024 Honorary Members

    Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated , one of the Black sororities in the National Pan-Hellenic Council (a.k.a. “The Divine Nine”) is the latest organization to introduce a new class of honorary members.

    The 13 new members of the sorority were initiated during its 60th International Biennial Boule in Houston, TX last week, in the presence of over 10,000 attendees.

    According to the official announcement :

    This 2024 Boule Induction Class represents what will be an unstoppable force of brilliance, leadership, innovation, and as a powerhouse alliance of C-Suite executives, visionary entrepreneurs, and formidable community leaders that will come together to Amplify Greater for those we serve.

    • Bettina Benson – Founder & CEO of Chloe Kristyn and The Modern Abstract
    • Rebekah Boruchi – Author and Row House Publishing Founder/CEO
    • Jackie Chambers de Freitas – Technology and Transformation Executive
    • Kelley Gay – Senior VP and CMO for OneAmerica Financial
    • Krystal Harris – Actress (Tyler Perry’s The Oval, The New Edition Story ), author, writer, director & coach
    • Ta’Rhonda Jones – Actress & TV personality ( Empire, OWN’s The Never Ever Mets ), rapper and philanthropist
    • Bianca Knight – Olympic Gold Medalist, college track and field coach
    • Dwan “Dee” Martin – Owner of Urban Luxe Cafe, salon chain owner, real estate investor
    • Sharon Moody – Interim Chief Defense Attorney for Richmond County (NY) Trial Office at The Legal Aid Society
    • Latavia Roberson – Original member of Grammy-winning group Destiny’s Child, entrepreneur & non-profit CEO
    • Kim Roxie – Founder of LAMIK cosmetics and breast cancer advocate
    • April Showers – Founder & CEO of Afro Unicorn, philanthropist, advocate for women entrepreneurship
    • Kera Wright – CFO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

    The announcement revealed that the new members were already at work following their induction. On Sunday, the honorary members performed a group community service project at the Houston Food Bank. They have also committed to collectively raise $25,000 to help the sisterhood continue their mission to “Amplify Greater” through service.
