    Sunday, June 9

    Magnolia VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call with Duplin County EMS. Magnolia MR 1 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 7 arrived patient care was transferred. Once the patient was loaded and transported all Magnolia units cleared the call.

    Beulaville VFD, Duplin County EMS, Beulaville Police Department and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to East N.C. 24 in front of Community Funeral Home for a MVC, five vehicles unknown injuries. Duplin County EMS Medic 5 arrived and advised zero visibility due to smoke from a burning wheat field. Beulaville Rescue 5 arrived and positioned on one side of the smoke while Beulaville Engine 1 positioned on the opposite side of the smoke. EMS cleared the call. with fifteen refusals, once the smoke had cleared and they were released by NCSHP all Beulaville units cleared the call.

    Magnolia VFD, Rose Hill VFD, Teachey VFD, Taylors Bridge VFD and Duplin County EMS responded to Tom Herring Lane for a residential structure fire. During response fire crews were advised that the structure is fully involved, three occupants live there, unknown if they are inside, possible life hazards. All units arrived and started extinguishment of the fire

    Chinquapin VFD responded to Durwood Evans Road for a field fire burning around a power pole. Chinquapin Engine 11 arrived and was unable to locate a fire. All Chinquapin units cleared the call.

    Beulaville VFD, North Carolina Forestry Service and Duplin County EMS responded to Old Chinquapin Road for a field fire that has burned into the woods. Beulaville Brush, and Engine 3 arrived and began to extinguish the fire. All fire was extinguished NCFS was cancelled and all Beulaville units cleared the call.

    Magnolia VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call with Duplin County EMS. Magnolia MR 1 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 8 arrived patient care was transferred. Once the patient was loaded and transported all Magnolia units cleared the call.

    North East VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to South N.C. 41 for a MVC, two vehicles unknown injuries. North East Car 2 arrived and found the vehicle off the roadway, Engine 1 and Equipment 1 arrived and set up traffic control to protect the scene while EMS treats the patient. EMS cleared with a refusal, all North East units cleared the call.

    Fountaintown FD self dispatched to a possible rekindled of a previous woods fire at the intersection of Hunter Road at Cedar Fork Road, Fountaintown Brush responding to check it out. Fountaintown Brush arrived and extinguished a few hotspots, once it was confirmed to still be contained all Fountaintown units cleared the call.

    Calypso VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call with Duplin County EMS. Calypso BLS arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 4 arrived patient care was transferred. Once the patient was loaded and transported all Calypso units cleared the call.

    Monday, June 10

    Pin Hook VFD responded mutual aid to Pender County (Maple Hill VFD) in South N.C. 50 at Pen-Du Rest Home for a commercial fire alarm activation. During response all Pin Hook units were cancelled, they cleared the call.

    Magnolia VFD responded to Interstate 40 near the 374 mile marker for a smoke investigation. Magnolia units arrived in the area and found a large smoke plume and requested Rose Hill VFD and North Carolina Forestry Service to respond to assist. Crews found the source of the smoke to be a wheat field being burned off near Blind Bridge Road. All units cleared the call.

    Tuesday, June 11

    Faison VFR, and Calypso VFD responded to Sampson County on Giddensville Road for a working structure fire. Faison Engine 2, Tanker 5, Rescue 51, and Unit 5 along with Calypso Engine 2, Engine 3, Rescue 8 and Brush 1 arrived and assisted units on scene. Once released by Sampson County all units cleared the call.

    Beulaville VFD responded to North N.C. 111 at East Duplin High School for a commercial fire alarm activation. Beulaville Car 1 advised that a firefighter on scene stated it was a false alarm, cancel all units. All Beulaville units cleared the call. and remained in their station!

    Magnolia VFD responded to Interstate 40 east bound at the 374 mile marker for a possible field fire. Magnolia units arrived in the area unable to locate, all Magnolia units cleared the call.

    Beulaville VFD self dispatched to Lyman Road for a small woods fire from burning off a wheat field. Beulaville Brush arrived and extinguished the fire. All Beulaville units cleared the call.

    Wallace VFD, Teachey VFD snd Duplin County EMS responded to Medical Village Drive at the North Carolina License Plate Agency for a fully involved vehicle fire, endangering a commercial structure and other vehicles. Wallace Chief 2 arrived and advised fully involved vehicle, Wallace Engine 5 arrived and pulled an attack line and began extinguishment of the fire. Wallace command cancelled Teachey as they have the fire under control. Once the fire was completely extinguished and the investigation completed all Wallace units cleared the call.

    Beulaville VFD responded to Lyman Road for a rekindle of a previous woods fire. Beulaville Brush arrived and extinguished the fire, once all fire was extinguished all Beulaville units cleared the call.

    Warsaw VFD responded to McDonalds for n West N.C. 2 for a working vehicle fire. Warsaw Engine 3, Engine 4, and Tanker 1 arrived and quickly extinguished the fire. Once the cause and origin investigation was completed all Warsaw units cleared the call.

    Wednesday, June 12

    Albertson VFD, Pleasant Grove VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the intersection on North N.C. 111 at North N.C. 903 Highway in front of the R Mart for a MVC involving Duplin County EMS Medic 6 transporting a patient to the hospital and a tractor trailer. Albertson and Pleasant Grove units arrived and closed the roadway down, one engine from Albertson set up a landing zone behind the fire department to land a medical helicopter. Once released by NCSHP all units cleared the call.

    Faison VFR First Responders, responded to a medical call with Duplin County EMS. Faison Engine 2 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 1 arrived patient care was transferred. Once the patient was loaded and transported all Faison units cleared the call.

    Warsaw VFD responded to West N.C. 24 at Interstate 40 in the area of Smithfield’s Chicken and BBQ for the odor of gas. Warsaw Engine 3 arrived and checked the area and was unable to locate and gas leak. All Warsaw units cleared the call.

    Kenansville VFD, North Carolina Forestry Service, and Duplin County EMS responded to Browntown Road for a woods fire. Kenansville Squad 1 arrived and requested a second department for brush truck and tanker. Beulaville VFD dispatched and Brush and Engine 2 responded, also Kenansville Engine 2 and Tanker 1 arrived and assisted with extinguishment. Once the fire was contained all fire units cleared the call. as NCFS remained on scene for mop up. All units returned to their station!

    Thursday, June 13

    Faison VFR First Responders, responded to a medical call with Duplin County EMS. Faison MR 5 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 4 arrived patient care was transferred. Once the patient was loaded and transported all Faison units cleared the call.

    Pink Hill VFR responded to the intersection of Bill Sutton Road at Burncoat Road for a low hanging power line across the roadway. Pink Hill Squad 1 arrived and cancelled all other units not on scene. Once the line was removed all Pink Hill units cleared the call.

    Pink Hill VFR First Responders, responded to a medical call with Duplin County EMS. Pink Hill QR 1 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 5 arrived patient care was transferred. Once the patient was loaded and transported all Pink Hill units cleared the call.

    Magnolia VFD responded to the intersection of John Rich Road at John Williams Evens Road for a field fire. Magnolia Tanker 3 arrived and found the farmer on scene, the field had been plowed around the edge, same is controlled. All Magnolia units cleared the call.

    Oak Wolfe VFD First Responders, responded to a medical call with Duplin County EMS. Duplin County EMS Medic 4 arrived and cancelled Oak Wolfe units. All Oak Wolfe units cleared the call.

    Wallace VFD responded to South N.C. 41 at Super Dollar for a hazardous material incident, strong smell of gas in the store. With in a minute after dispatch Duplin County Fire Marshal FM 2and FM 3 arrived and started to check on the gas smell. Once the building was deemed safe all Wallace units cleared the call.

    Faison VFR First Responders, responded to a medical call with Duplin County EMS. Faison MR 5 and Engine 2 arrived and started patient care, once Duplin County EMS Medic 1 arrived patient care was transferred. Once the patient was loaded and transported all Faison units cleared the call.

    Magnolia VFD responded to Leonard Rich Road for an equipment (bulldozer) fire. Magnolia Engine 1 and Tanker 3 arrived and started extinguishment of the fire. Once the fire was extinguished and the cause and origin investigation was completed all Magnolia units cleared the call.

    Beulaville VFD responded to Pine Street for a field fire. Beulaville Car 2 arrived and advised cancel all units, the property owner is burning the field off, it has been plowed around. All Beulaville units cleared the call. and remained in their station!

    Friday, June 14

    Beulaville VFD, Lyman VFD, Chinquapin VFR, and Duplin County EMS responded to Pope Road for a possible residential structure fire, smoke in the living room. Duplin County EMS Medic 5 arrived to find nothing showing out investigating. Medic 5 advised light smoke haze in the residence, Beulaville Car 1 arrived and advised to cancel all automatic aid. Lyman and Chinquapin units cleared the call. and remained in their stations. Beulaville Engine 1, and Rescue 5 arrived and investigated the source of the smoke. Once the investigation was completed all Beulaville units cleared the call.

    Potters Hill VFD responded to assist EMS. Potters Hill Rescue 1 arrived and assisted the EMS crew. Once the patient was transported all Potters Hill units cleared the call.

    Harrells VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to South N.C. 41 at Powell Page Road for a MVC. Harrells Squad 1 arrived and controlled traffic, once released by NCSHP all Harrells units cleared the call.

    Potters Hill VFD responded mutual aid to Onslow County (Richlands VFD) on Humphrey Boulevard for a residential structure fire. While responding and in Onslow County Potters Hill Engine 2 was involved in a MVC at the intersection of Beulaville Highway (N.C. 24) and Steamsholve Road. Some Richlands and Back Swamp units cleared the structure fire and responded to the MVC, as did Onslow County EMS and North Carolina State Highway Patrol. One patient from the other vehicle was checked out by EMS. Once the preliminary investigation was complete Potters Hill units were released.

    Sarecta VFD, Pink Hill VFR, Albertson VFD, Pleasant Grove VFD, and Duplin County EMS responded to Kitty Noecker Road for a residential structure fire, grease fire in the kitchen. Sarecta Car 1 arrived and was able to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher, Albertson and Pleasant Grove units were canceled, Sarecta and Pink Hill units preceded to the scene. Once smoke removal and damage assessment were completed all units cleared the call.

    Saturday, June 15

    Beulaville VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Futrell Lane for a possible MVC, iPhone Crash Notification. Beulaville Rescue 5 arrived in the area and checked the entire lane and found no MVC or phone. All units cancelled and Beulaville units cleared the call.

    Warsaw VFD, Duplin County EMS, and Warsaw Police Department responded to N. Gum Street at E. Chelly Street for a MVC, vehicle versus power pole. Warsaw Engine 3, Squad 4 and Command 4 arrived to find a vehicle with moderate damage, a broken power pole, and a power line in the roadway. Warsaw units closed Chelly Street from Gum Street to Center Street tills the power company arrived to start repairs. Once the power company arrived and Town Public Works had place out road closed signs all Warsaw units cleared the call.

    Wallace VFD responded to Pender County on Lucky Penny Loop for an illegal burn. Wallace Engine 6 arrived and extinguished the fire and waited for Pender County Fire Marshal to arrive. Once released by PCFM all Wallace units cleared the call.

    Calypso VFD, North Carolina Forestry Service, and Duplin County EMS responded to Beautancus Road for a woods fire. Calypso Car 1 arrived and advised same is a controlled burn, all units cancelled and remained in their station!

    Rose Hill VFD, Teachey VFD, Duplin County EMS, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to Cornwallis Road for an iPhone Crash Notification, with screaming in the background. Teachey Car 1 arrived and advised a single vehicle in the ditch with two patients minor injuries. All Teachey units cancelled, Rose Hill units arrived and started traffic control while EMS treated the patients. Once released by NCSHP all Rose Hill units cleared the call.

    Wallace VFD responded for station coverage assignment at Burgaw Fire Department while they assist Pender EMS and Fire with a large commercial structure fire. Wallace Engine 6 arrived at Burgaw Fire Station and stood by till Burgaw units returned to their station. All Wallace units cleared their assignment.

    Warsaw VFD responded to Gum Street at Warsaw Parks and Recreation to set up a landing zone for air medical helicopter per Duplin County EMS. Warsaw units arrived and set up a secure landing zone, once the helicopter landed safely, the patient was loaded and patient care transferred. The helicopter took off safely and all Warsaw units cleared the call.

    Faison VFR responded to a station coverage assignment at Rocky Point Fire Department while they assist Pender EMS and Fire with a large commercial structure fire. During the response Faison Tanker 5 was cancelled.

    Faison VFR responded to Robert Hobbs Road at Tara Creek for an event stand by. Once the event was over all Faison units cleared the call.

    Albertson VFD responded to a station coverage assignment at Rocky Point Fire Department while they assist Pender EMS and Fire with a large commercial structure fire. During the response Albertson Engine 2 was cancelled.
