Four people charged in connection with scheme to introduce drugs into Mississippi prison

Four people have been charged with a scheme to smuggle drugs into a Mississippi prison.

The Kemper County Sheriff’s Department has charged Anthony Frymire, Allison Harris, Marcus Anderson and Amanda Cox in connection with a scheme to smuggle contraband into the Kemper/Neshoba Correctional Facility, officials announced Sunday.

Sheriff James Moore confirmed that the arrests followed a thorough investigation by his department, which uncovered a plot to introduce illegal substances into the prison.

According to Moore, the investigation revealed that inmate Anthony Frymire coordinated with his girlfriend, Allison Harris, to facilitate the smuggling operation. The two allegedly conspired with Marcus Anderson to bring methamphetamine and marijuana into the facility. Authorities say Amanda Cox was also involved and has been charged in connection with the scheme.

Frymire and Harris face multiple charges, including two counts of introducing contraband into a correctional facility, conspiracy to commit a crime, and felony possession of a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine.

Anderson and Cox have been charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and introducing contraband, including methamphetamine and marijuana, into the correctional facility.

The defendants are scheduled for an initial court appearance on Tuesday, August 13. Sheriff Moore indicated that the investigation is ongoing, with additional arrests anticipated.
