A Mississippi teen who reportedly fled from officers in a stolen vehicle was arrested in Louisiana.

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that a Brookhaven teen was one of three suspects arrested. According to a press release, the teen is believed to be the driver.

Shawn Ratcliff, 18, of Nalco Lane, in Brookhaven, was booked on charges of illegal possession of stolen things, simple battery, simple criminal damage to property and illegal possession of Tapentadol.

St. Bernard Sheriff James Pohlmann said deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet truck that was reported stolen from Jefferson Parish Wednesday morning in Meraux.

The driver, later identified as Ratcliff, refused to stop, according to the report.

Ratcliff and two other passengers later exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Deputies were able to arrest the suspects after they hid in sheds nearby.]
