Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) are looking into a fatal officer-involved shooting that took place in North Mississippi on Monday, September 16.

According to Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred when the Olive Branch SWAT Team attempted to serve an arrest warrant at a residence on Railroad Avenue. During the operation, the suspect reportedly pointed a weapon at the officers, prompting them to fire.

The suspect sustained fatal injuries, while no serious physical injuries were reported among the officers involved. MBI agents are conducting a full investigation and will present their findings to the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office for review.

Seems they have adopted the ATF’s way of serving a warrant. Hey look he pointed a gun! And by the way there are 8 other cops to back me up.
