Members of Mississippi school community mourn death of 8th grader in ATV accident

Members of a Mississippi private school and community are mourning after an eighth-grader died in a tragic ATV accident this weekend.

Students and staff of Simpson Academy are remembering the life of Ayden Temple, 13, who was involved in a crash while riding an ATV in the Ole Pearl community on Sunday, Sept. 22.

The school dedicated its Monday chapel service to Temple and will be closed Thursday for Temple’s funeral at First Baptist Church in Mendenhall.

Temple was a Simpson Academy Junior High football and archery team member.

Family and friends of the Simpson Academy community have been leaving messages of prayers and condolences on the school’s Facebook page.
