Ann Arbor | This German Restaurant’s Portions are EXPLOSIVE… 🍽️💥

📍Metzger’s, Ann Arbor This German restaurant on the west side of Ann Arbor is literally named "butcher" in German, so you know it's going to be an all-out meat fest! The picture is unexpectedly funny; four people eating could fill an entire table, just like a banquet. Their menu is all in German, and I felt like I was illiterate because I couldn't understand much, but was too embarrassed to say. From what I remember, the main dishes we ordered were: 🥩 German Sauerbraten - a tangy marinated beef topped with gravy 🌀 German Rouladen - beef rolls stuffed with vegetables and bacon 🍖 Schnitzel - a crispy fried pork cutlet 🐖 Pig Hock - fried pork knuckle, aromatic and not greasy For sides, I highly recommend the 🥔 potato pancake - it's sticky and chewy, though a bit oily; eating too much might upset your stomach. Another side I chose was the 🥗 beets salad, which was very refreshing. The service here is great 👍! The waitress kept calling us "darling" and "dear." Also, initially, we wanted to order a sausage platter for an appetizer, but the waitress misunderstood and brought a cheese platter instead. After explaining the mix-up, she provided us with a sausage platter at no extra charge.
