UPDATE: Storage Unit Fire in Ogema
Early Monday morning, shortly before 4am a fire was reported at the Ogema Storage Units. Authorities were able to put out the fire that spread through almost half of the units. The units that sustained heavy damage included those rented out by Public Health, the ICW, the Ogema Bank and the Ogema Fire Department nearly lost their very first Fire Truck. It is hoped that a local business will be able to bring this 1929 Fire Truck back to parade readiness. At this time the State Fire Marshall is investigating the fire. If you have any information that will lead to the party responsible for starting the fire you are asked to call the tip line at 800-723-2020. A reward, up to $5000, will be issued if the information leads the authorities to identify who is responsible. As more details are released we will keep you updated.
