CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Museum of the Grand Prairie in Mahomet is filled with exhibits displaying our culture.

It’s a place to learn about the timeline of Central Illinois prairies and the primitive tools in our past. You can also learn about the history of Abraham Lincoln.

“He had a very strong presence here in Champaign County as a lawyer,” Director of Museum and Education Kamryn Suttinger said. “So we have an entire exhibit about him, what he would have experienced when he was living in the county, working in the county, how he helped promote even other politicians before he was president.”

You can practice harvesting corn or hang out with President Lincoln all right here in Central Illinois.
