Shooting investigation after early-morning Champaign shooting
CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign Police Department (CPD) responded to a shooting with injuries at 5:13 a.m. on August 24 in the 1400 block of N. Market St. When police arrived, officers found a 17-year-old Champaign man with a life-threatening gunshot wound. CPD and the Champaign Fire Department rendered immediate medical aid and he was transported to an area hospital. He remains hospitalized in serious condition.
