Pleasant with partly to mostly sunny skies today; warmer air begins Thursday
While there were a fair amount of clouds around Tuesday, there were some breaks of sun on occasion, as the dry and comfortable weather pattern continued for another day. It was the coolest day of this stretch so far, with highs only in the upper 60s to low 70s thanks to the increased cloud cover. A pair of mostly sunny days for the middle of the week for Wednesday and Thursday is on tap. All the while, a three-day warm up will commence, with highs around the 80-degree mark Wednesday, and then 85-90 degree highs with building humidity Thursday and Friday. Friday afternoon and evening scattered showers and thunderstorms ahead of a cold front will be the only chance of rain over the next seven days, and that cold front will temporarily knock back the heat and humidity. As a result, a near-perfect weekend for dad delivers abundant sunshine and abundantly comfy highs around 80 degrees all weekend! Enjoy the comfort, as the heat and humidity come back stronger and last longer next week, with widespread 90-degree highs likely by Tuesday.

Comfortable today with a mix of sun and clouds; turning warmer later this week
Pleasant with a mix of sun and clouds; spotty shower. High: 73. Times of clouds and sun; pleasant. High: 74 Low: 52. Comfort was definitely king this past weekend, with seasonably and comfortably warm highs yet again Sunday in the mid and upper 70s along with low dew points and humidity values. A weak cold front harmlessly passed through Sunday morning, bringing with it somewhat cloudy skies, but also only a brief spotty shower or two. By the afternoon however, skies turned rather bright along with a refreshing breeze. Cool and comfy are the themes to start the new work week Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the low to mid 70s, cooler than our average high for mid-June, which is around 80 degrees. Both days likely feature mostly sunny mornings, then clouds bubble up to produce partly to mostly cloudy afternoons. While we're mostly dry, a few sprinkles can't be ruled out, most likely in the Poconos, mainly Monday afternoon. Thereafter, it's increasingly warm and eventually hot, as well as humid, later this week. Look for partly sunny skies and highs surging into the low 80s (Wednesday), upper 80s (Thursday), then low 90s (Friday). Friday will be the hottest day of the spring so far, and the first widespread 90-degree day area-wide. A Friday night cold front will produce a few showers and storms, then temps ease a bit into the 80s to start Father's Day weekend next Saturday.
