Gov. Mark Robinson </a> , the state’s Republican nominee for governor, denied the heavily sourced reporting published on Thursday by Politico and CNN, respectively. Robinson spoke out just around the same time that local media reported he was being urged by GOP leaders to drop out of the race for his alleged online activity that took place more than a decade ago. <a href="https://newsone.com/5060067/mark-robinson-hateful-remarks/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> MORE: MAGA Republican Mark Robinson’s Hateful History Of Spewing Conspiracy Rhetoric </a><a href="https://www.carolinajournal.com/robinson-under-pressure-to-withdraw-from-gubernatorial-race/?utm_source=Twitter&amp;utm_medium=BreakingNewsAlert" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> According to the Carolina Journal </a> , “Sources with direct knowledge” said that “Robinson is under pressure from staff and members of the Trump campaign to withdraw from the governor’s race.” That report was followed by one from <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/19/politics/kfile-mark-robinson-black-nazi-pro-slavery-porn-forum/index.html" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> CNN that uncovered </a> “a series of inflammatory comments on a pornography website’s message board more than a decade ago, in which [Robinson] referred to himself as a ‘black NAZI!’ and expressed support for reinstating slavery.” <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> According to CNN, “Robinson said he enjoyed watching transgender pornography, a review of archived messages found in which he also referred to himself as a ‘perv.’” More from CNN: <blockquote> The comments, which Robinson denies making, predate his entry into politics and current stint as North Carolina’s lieutenant governor. They were made under a username that CNN was able to identify as Robinson by matching a litany of biographical details and a shared email address between the two. Many of Robinson’s comments were gratuitously sexual and lewd in nature. They were made between 2008 and 2012 on “Nude Africa,” a pornographic website that includes a message board. The comments were made under the username minisoldr, a moniker Robinson used frequently online. Robinson listed his full name on his profile for Nude Africa, as well as an email address he used on numerous websites across the internet for decades. </blockquote> Also on Thursday, <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/19/north-carolina-lt-governor-mark-robinson-ashley-madison-00180107" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> Politico reported </a> that one of Robinson’s advisers confirmed that “An email address belonging to North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson was registered on Ashley Madison, a website designed for married people seeking affairs.” <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> CNN is expected to televise an interview with Robinson on Thursday evening. Robinson on Thursday said without proof that all of the aforementioned reports were lies devised by his political opponents, including and especially Josh Stein, the Democratic gubernatorial nominee in North Carolina. Ironically, Trump was grazed in the ear during a failed assassination attempt in Western Pennsylvania eight days later. That apparent incitement of political violence is part of Robinson’s <a href="https://newsone.com/5060067/mark-robinson-hateful-remarks/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> legacy of being hateful </a> and spreading nonsensical conspiracy theories. He <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/mar/05/mark-robinson-north-carolina" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> described </a> COVID-19 as a “globalist” conspiracy to destroy Trump; he <a href="https://newsone.com/4232182/nc-lt-gov-mark-robinson-lgbtq-controversy/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> called </a> members of the LGBTQ+ community “filth” and falsely <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2024/03/02/mark-robinson-governor-candidate-north-carolina-offensive-comments/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> linked </a> homosexuality to pedophilia; and, of course, he leaned into his role as a “Black friend” to the white-and-aggrieved world of MAGA by suggesting it’s actually <a href="https://newsone.com/4566704/mark-robinson-reparations/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Black Americans who owe reparations for slavery </a> . <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> If history is any indication, Robinson will not be dropping out of the gubernatorial race in which he is <a href="https://emersoncollegepolling.com/september-2024-swing-state-polls-trump-and-harris-locked-in-tight-presidential-race/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> polling behind Stein </a> .
