A Chester man has died after a two vehicle crash in Cape Girardeau. The crash occurred on Wednesday July 3rd around 11:45am just 1 mile west of Jackson. A tow truck driven by 55 year old Thomas Litchenegger of Jackson, was traveling westbound when 67 year old Thomas Howard of Chester, who was driving a motorcycle, pulled into his path.

Storms possible this evening and overnight
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Happy Fourth of July Heartland. It was another very hot day across the area and a few thunderstorms did provide cooling relief for a few. For this evening there will be isolated storms but most areas will be dry before midnight. Areas that have not seen rain will remain very warm with temperatures slowly falling through the 80s. As we head towards midnight most of our guidance suggests a thunderstorm complex will move towards the Heartland. These storms will move across the area during the overnight hours with the threat of damaging winds and very heavy rain. Lows by morning will be in the lower to middle 70s.
