Upscale Thai Restaurant to Open in Malden

An upscale Thai restaurant is set to transform Malden ’s dining scene. Local restaurateur Usanus Siritararatn , along with his wife Nisachon Thanangthirapong , are preparing to open Thaiger Den at 157 Pleasant St .

The couple—who also own Crying Thaiger, a rustic Thai kitchen just half a mile away—have made a name for themselves with classic, casual fare like pad Thai and panang curry. Their signature dish, a grilled and marinated New York strip steak served with a spicy, tangy sauce, inspired the name “Crying Thaiger.”

Thaiger Den, however, will take a different approach. Thanangthirapong told What Now Boston that their new venture will focus on affordable fine fare. She said that the Thaiger Den menu will feature both ancient and contemporary recipes, showcasing “many rare and refined Thai dishes” that are not available in any other restaurant in the Greater Boston area.

The couple envisions their new eatery as a “local neighborhood den,” bringing a fresh and sophisticated Thai dining experience to Malden. If all goes according to plan, Thaiger Den will open its doors in early September 2024. For the latest details, follow the restaurant on Facebook .
