THE SOUND OF MUSIC runs through Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Kavli Theatre at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center (formerly the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza), 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.

It was a great morning for a run! The Venice Beach Run Conquer the Pier event kicked off at 8:30 a.m. at the end of the Venice Pier. A nice cool marine layer covered the 5k course, which went from the end of the pier to the beach, then north on the boardwalk to Rose Ave, turned around and came back, finishing at the end of the pier. There was also a 1k that started at 10:00 a.m. at Muscle Beach Gym, and ran down to Washington Blvd. and then up the pier to the finish line.
