Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel, Los Angeles County Life Guard, California Highway Patrol officers and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies all responded to reports of a vehicle into the ocean with people trapped.

Crews located the vehicle which had traveled straight from Topanga Canyon through PCH and barriers onto the sand.

Two victims were located and transported by Los Angeles County Coast Guard crews up to PCH to a waiting private ambulance.

Both victims were transported to a local area hospital in unknown condition.

Cynthia Christcole was on the beach when the vehicle crashed onto the sand. She spoke to KNN on camera regarding what she witnessed.

Christcole said that she wasn’t dead asleep yet, but some feeling she had prompted her to open her eyes and that’s when she saw a car fly over the cliff and smash right into the sand, then flip over.

A young lady was in the front seat, according to Christcole, and she attempted to open the door and tried to get the lady out, but the lady told her to open the back passenger door where a young man came out of the vehicle.

Christcole said the man tried to step onto his leg but it wasn’t holding his weight. He appeared confused and dropped down onto the sand.

There were about eight good Samaritans on the beach that made their way to the scene of the crash, with many of them calling 911, according to Christcole.

The cause of the solo vehicle crash is unknown at this time.
