Tastes of The Woodall: New Menu Options

    2023-09-18

The Woodall, an upscale restaurant on Atlanta’s Westside, has the perfect menu that keeps regulars coming back with favorites but also new seasonal options to appeal to those who like to change up their regular meals. Recently we tried some of their classics along with some of the new items and here’s some of the items we loved.

The menu is divided into Snacks, Really Nice Things, Classics and Steakhouse cuts. We ordered from each section

I'm a sucker for Shishito peppers, and they do 'em right here. Not only do they come up with the perfect amount of crisp, but the chli oil and curried mustard aioli mix is perfection.

Oysters? Yes, please. These oysters are only served Fridays through Sundays. The flavor was so fresh it almost didn’t need anything else. But we did love the shaved mix of cheese and horseradish on top (I think that's what it was) is lovely. More restaurants should do this.

The trout, locally caught, was served with Basmati rice and a lemongrass Asian sauce. Certainly one person in your party needs to order this.

The 8 ounce wagyu tri-tip is another must-order items because it is sous vide, rendering the steak so tender it only needs a fork to cut. Definitely get the buttered lobster side to go with it.

Have you heard of a "pre-dessert"? Chef Karl introduced me to that term and to his new item - Blueberry Foie Gras, complete with Champagne Gelee. It's under the "Really Nice Things" section of the menu and one of several new menu options here.

Don't worry, we still ate their signature butter cake for dessert.
