Brothers from Oregon plead guilty for role in Jan. 6 riot at US Capitol
PORTLAND, Ore. — Two brothers from Oregon pleaded guilty to felony and misdemeanor charges for their role in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Jonathanpeter Allen Klein, 24, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to one count of civil disorder and one count of assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers.

PORTLAND, OR -- The U.S. Veterans Affairs Secretary is in Oregon this week, for a national VA and Department of Defense Suicide Prevention Conference. Around 2400 mental health experts and veterans advocates are meeting through Thursday at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. This is the first time the biennial conference has come to Oregon. Mule deer doe killed, left to waste in Jefferson County
Oregon State Police are asking for the public's help to find whoever was behind the illegal take and waste of a mule deer doe in Jefferson County. OSP Fish and Wildlife said the doe was found in the area of NW Hart Street in Madras on June 13 after it was shot with an arrow. The doe likely had been killed the same day and left to waste. The specific location where it was shot is unknown, OSP said.

Homeowner affected by Central Point structure fire speaks out
CENTRAL POINT, Ore.- The residential structure fire burning in Central Point Tuesday afternoon has been contained and mopped up. Jackson County Fire District 3 was alerted to a fast-moving grass fire in the 4200 Block of Grant Road in Central Point at the same time as a microburst thunderstorm. According to Fire Chief Mike Hussey, the fire ignited in the field and then quickly spread to what he believes was a mobile home and greenhouses. He says the fire grew to around 15 acres because of the wind.
