Oweh says ‘no-brainer’ transferring to Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. (KT) — Otega Oweh eventually wanted to play at the next level and considered it a “no-brainer” when he decided to transfer to Kentucky. “The history is so rich,” Oweh said. “The plan that coach (Mark) Pope had for the program — I was really intrigued with it at the end of the day with Kentucky. Portland Dairy Queen may close soon as land goes up for sale

Baptist Health breaks ground on facility designed to streamline healthcare for patients
Baptist Health, in partnership with Dallas-based Intuitive Health, has broken ground on its third dual emergency and urgent care facility. The 11,400-square-foot Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Glenmary will be located on Bardstown Road in Louisville and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025. The project follows the successful launch of the Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Jeffersonville in Jeffersonville, Indiana, in 2022, and the Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Blankenbaker in Louisville in 2023.

Louisville Man Charged With Murder After Fight
A 31-year-old man accused of killing another man during a fight in Louisville’s Russell neighborhood pleaded not guilty in court Thursday morning. Alonzo Thomas is charged with the murder of Thaddeus Miller after they got into a fight in a parking lot on West Chestnut Street. According to the arrest citation, Thomas believed Miller had taken his gun from his girlfriend, who was trying to keep the gun away from Thomas.
