Alligator sighting in Washington State prompts investigation
**UPDATE: As reported Saturday afternoon by KIRO 7, the reptile in question turned out to be an exotic tegu lizard that recently escaped from its owner. Alligators are not native to Washington State and could not establish a population in the region because of its cool climate. But somewhere in Snohomish County, a very large gator is on the prowl. “Granite Falls Deputies are investigating the sighting of a 10’ alligator near the 9400 block of Ray Grade Rd.,” the Snohomish County Sheriff announced late Friday via X. “The reptile was last seen south of Ray Grade Rd. toward the Pilchuck River.” A...
Gator on the loose in Washington!
Quite the incident happened near the 9400 block of Ray Grade Rd. in Snohomish County over the weekend. Reports came in to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department and Washington State Fish and Wildlife for a 10-foot-long ferocious man-eating gator! Was it really painted as a ferocious man-eating monster? Probably not, but I'd like to think so. This call came in for this 10-foot gator, and people were very freaked out. The Snohomish County Sheriff and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife were aware of the sighting, and they made a post about it on social media. That post was shared hundreds of times. When sheriffs and wildlife officials arrived, they were shocked to see it wasn't a gator at all.

Telekinesis returns with Wimps, Oliver Elf Army
I had the good fortune to catch Telekinesis’ Michael Lerner last month at a small art opening in a secluded barn up in Bow, a tiny hamlet off of Chuckanut Drive in Skagit County. It was a brief, subdued set; Lerner played guitar and supplemented a couple of songs with some beats piped in from his laptop. It was good to see and hear from him again, but it really whetted my appetite for the full-band Telekinesis experience: Lerner front and center on his drum kit backed by musicians just as lit up and exuberant as they can be, the Telekinesis I first experienced at Timbrrr! 2014 and again at SASQUATCH! in 2016. According to Lerner, the band now features Jes le Bon of Sleepy Genes on guitar and Kelly Sorbel of Kurly Something on bass. Lerner has had a rotating cast of members in his band over the years, so it will be interesting to experience this new lineup.
