Hot and more humid for Sunday
PITTSBURGH — Ample sunshine today will continue for Sunday. We knocked on the door of 90 Saturday, and we should reach it on Sunday. Clouds will increase on Monday with the chance of some stray showers after lunch. Rain will be very spotty through the day. A better chance of scattered showers on Tuesday with daily shower chances through Thursday. No one day is a washout, and no one time looks wetter than the other, but rain will be around each day. We look to dry out in time for Friday Night Lights with the Steelers and stay hot heading into the first weekend of August.

Top WPIAL Recruit Earns Offer from West Coast Powerhouse
Matt Sieg is one of the top recruits in the WPIAL, regardless of class, and he’s continuing to rack up major offers. Sieg — a 6-foot, 170-pound four-star athlete from Fort Cherry in McDonald, Pa. — holds offers from Akron, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, WVU and Wisconsin, and he’s playing quarterback and defensive back at the high school level. Why can't planes fly when it's too hot? Meteorologist Ray Petelin explains.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- One thing I love getting is questions from people wondering how things work, or in today's case, why things don't work!David asks: Hey Ray, why is it when it gets too hot, airplanes cannot fly? This is a great question because it can actually become too hot for some aircraft to fly.Thinking of hot air balloons, that may seem counterintuitive, but when temperatures get too hot, planes start to lose their ability to take flight. Just to calm fears, those temperatures are exceptionally high. Before we get to temperatures, we need to talk about the big thing that keeps...
