Castle Valley residents in shock after receiving tax notices
I wasn’t shocked when I opened the envelope containing our Grand County 2024 notice of property valuation and tax changes. I wasn’t shocked only because I had already heard from my neighbor who received his tax notice a few days before me and said he was “shocked.” He said he had a $1,290 increase and he was wondering if it was a mistake. Then I began reading rumblings on the Castle Valley Facebook page from Castle Valley folks who started receiving their tax notices.
