Mount Hope excited to expand city’s boundaries with Appalachian Heights site
MOUNT HOPE, WV (WOAY) – The city of Mount Hope recently made an intergovernmental agreement with Raleigh County regarding the Appalachian Heights site. Mayor Michael Kessinger calls it a positive step that they annexed Route 19 south into Raleigh at the North Beckley exit, expanding the city’s boundaries and the pipe yard adjacent to 19 to the right.

By Monday, it’s looking more and more likely to be a rainy day, with solid rain chances lasting through Wednesday. This rain will be much appreciated due to the existing drought across the region.
