A 92-year-old Palmetto woman was killed in a crash on Tuesday after driving off the roadway into a ditch, troopers said. The woman was traveling in an SUV and heading south on 3rd Avenue West, passing 42nd Street Court West at 7:19 p.m. She failed to negotiate a roadway curve, traveled off to the left of the roadway and collided with a ditch, according to a Florida Highway Patrol crash report.
