Holly Hook told lawmakers earlier this year she feels trapped by rising rents. While testifying before the Housing and Human Services Committee in February, Hook said her lot rent at a Swartz Creek mobile home park has more than doubled in the past six years. It jumped 25% after the park was purchased by new owners in 2018, she said, and has ticked up at least 10% every year since then.
