Most activity has come from Millennials, America’s biggest generation, who drove sales of starter homes in towns with great school districts, while retiring Boomers wanted to downsize their big family homes and stay local.

Shuttle buses replace service on portion of Green Line due to electrical issue
Shuttle buses replaced service on a portion of the Green Line on Monday morning due to an issue with overhead wires. Shortly after 8 a.m., the MBTA said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that an issue with an overhead wire near Lechmere was causing delays. A short time later, they said the delays were due to a pantograph problem and a trolley was disabled as a result. A pantograph is a wire-like device that helps transmit electrical energy to the train cars. A similar issue caused problems on the Green Line back in June.

Celtics’ Hauser Agrees Four-Year, $45m Extension
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser has agreed to a four-year, $45 million contract extension with the franchise, according to ESPN. Hauser, who signed with the Celtics in 2021 after going undrafted, was a key reserve for a Boston team that captured its 18th championship last season. The 26-year-old has averaged 42% from three over the past three seasons, while also being a useful asset on defense. Hauser shot 42% from behind the arc last season, which ranked him fourth among NBA players who attempted 400 or more shots. The former University of Virginia athlete also became the third player in Celtics history to knock down ten three-pointers in a game. The deal raises the Celtics’ payroll for the 2025-26 season to $225 million, in addition to a $210 million luxury tax penalty. The Celtics will also be over the league’s second apron for the second straight year, making their 2032 and 2033 first-round picks untradable.
