More money could result in fewer trips to ER, study suggests
Giving cash to poor people could result in fewer emergency department visits, a new study suggests. The study published Monday in the Journal of the American Medical Association looked at almost 2,900 low-income people who applied for a lottery in the Boston suburb of Chelsea, Massachusetts. Nearly 1,750 of them got up to $400 per month from November 2020 to August 2021.

Zach Bryan Spots A Tiny Familiar Face In The Crowd & Hops Off The Stage To Say Hello
This is officially the youngest (and cutest) groupie we’ve ever seen! During one of his Boston shows, country star Zach Bryan met a baby fan in the crowd. Of course, this little guy was there with his family. As soon as the musician saw the tiny audience member, he just had to hold him. Parents Logan and Giordana D’Agostino caught the sweetest footage of the encounter!
Jarren Duran Is Having One Of The Most Unlikely Red Sox Seasons of All-Time
Let’s get this out of the way first: I was very, very wrong about Jarren Duran. I thought that, as a 27-year-old with parts of three seasons under his belt, he wasn’t likely to improve his game all that much. I thought that his unsustainable .381 BABIP in 2023 portended a massive drop in offensive production. I thought that, when his career was over, he would be known more for being the sombrero boy on the 2023 Mexican national team in the World Baseball Classic than for anything he did on the field.

The Evolution Of Internet Thirst With Hunter Harris & Peyton Dix
You might have thought being the only Black girls at a liberal arts college in Boston brought us together, but really it was horniness. And opinions about horniness, specifically fighting about horniness. Our first hot-or-not debate — one of many to come — was over our Intro to Film professor. Hunter was correct, he was hot (for someone who made us watch Nanook of the North). But Peyton is a Taurus and will not admit she is wrong. She is also a lesbian.

Newton, MA – Chapman Construction announced it has completed two projects for Element Care PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly): the adaptive reuse of a former medical building in Lynn and the construction of its new facility in Brighton. Both projects involved heavy logistics coordination and multiple stakeholders, including the Boston Housing Authority, 2Life Communities, MassDesign, the City of Boston, the City of Lynn, and Element Care PACE.
OTM Open Thread 7/22: No Brawls This Time
Happy Monday. Those Dodgers might be damaged but they’re still a tough team. And Jarren Duran had a huge series. In fact, winning one of the first two games - or even both - was just a matter of inches. But on to face the Colorado Rockies. Starting with Tanner Time at a weird 8:40 PM ET first pitch. The Red Sox begin their eastward return trip at 53-45, third place in the AL East, 1.0 game back in the Wild Card.
9 NHL Teams That Missed in Free Agency
Last week, we looked at which teams fared best in free agency. Today, we’ll look at some teams who took the wrong approach or maybe didn’t improve their rosters as much as it may seem. Of note, this article only includes UFA signings, so if your favorite team made some trades, those transactions will not be discussed in great detail.

Kenley Jansen talked about what he expects from the Red Sox at the trade deadline
"We should be competing." Kenley Jansen’s take on the trade deadline: The Major League Baseball trade deadline is set for Tuesday, July 30, at 6 p.m. Exactly what Red Sox management intends to do before that remains to be seen. Boston currently sits third in A.L. East with a 53-45 record. The first post-All-Star series was a disaster for Alex Cora’s team, as Boston was swept over the weekend in Los Angeles by the Dodgers, dropping the Red Sox one game out of the final wild card spot.
