MANDAN, ND ( KXNET ) — A long-time sporting goods store has moved locations.

Last month, the owners at Mandan Sporting Goods packed everything up, including the guns, the ammo, and the fishing gear, and moved from Main Street over to 4th Avenue Northwest.

Brandon Charvat, who’s owned the store for 16 years, says when the space opened up along 2nd and 4th, he couldn’t pass it up.

Mainly because he says the new space has a more open floor plan and they finally have a parking lot.

“People I would never have been able to facilitate over there. A couple of weeks ago, a guy came in with his Dodge dually pickup, pulling a 40-foot trailer behind it, he pulled right in the lot, came in, got what he wanted, and out the door he went,” Charvat said. “The ample parking is what’s going to help.”

Charvat says they’re now waiting on the new sign as well as window wraps to be installed.

Mandan Sporting Goods is open six days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. They’re closed on Sundays.
